THEOPHILUS WASHINGTON STANDFIELD PHOTO
Here is a photgraph dated c. 1870 - 1900 of T. Stan(d)field. The photo was taken in London, Ontario. It is a person who is a member of the Order of Oddfellows, a benevolent society. The "collar" is one worn by Odd Fellows and the jewel attached to it shows that the man was a past presiding officer (Noble Grand) of a lodge.
It may be t...hat of Theophilus Washington Standfield, the son of John Standfield, one of the Tolpuddle Martyrs
Theophilus was a nephew of James and Elizabeth Brine, who were living in Blanshard Township, Perth County during this period. Blanshard is near the town of St. Marys.
